The aim of this project is to promote the study and preservation of the archaeological heritage of Ukraine. Patronage of archaeological science, according to Alexander Feldman, is even more necessary today, when in the conditions of a chronic deficit of state funding, the problem of preserving historical and cultural monuments for future generations is becoming increasingly acute.
The cooperation of Alexander Feldman with archaeologists began in 2008 with the implementation of a joint project of the International Charitable Fund “Alexander Feldman Foundation”, Kharkiv Regional Historical and Archaeological Society (KhOAO) and the Museum of Archeology and Ethnography of Sloboda Ukraine Kharkiv National University. V.N. Karazin, designed to facilitate the study and preservation of the archaeological heritage in the Kharkov region.
As part of the project, the Alexander Feldman Foundation has allocated six archaeological expeditions operating at Kharkiv National University. V.N. Karazin, Kharkov National Pedagogical University. G.S. Frying pans, Kharkov State Academy of Culture and Kharkov Historical Museum, financial assistance in the amount of 65 thousand hryvnias for the purchase of equipment, equipment and food, solving organizational, technical and domestic problems of archaeologists.
In addition, the Alexander Feldman Foundation in the same year allocated 35 thousand hryvnias for the repair and arrangement of the new office premises of the KhOIAO - a public scientific and educational organization that unites and consolidates the efforts of archaeologists, historians, local historians, all those involved in the study, protection and popularization of cultural and historical heritage in the Kharkov region.
